Roamlight ("the app") is a personal travel-mapping app that reveals a map of the world based on the places you have been. This policy explains exactly what data the app uses and where it lives. The short version: your location history stays yours, on your own devices and in your own iCloud account. We do not operate servers that store or receive your data, and we cannot see where you have been.
With your permission, Roamlight accesses your device's location, including in the background, so it can reveal the areas you visit even when the app is not open. Location access is entirely optional and can be turned off at any time, either with the in-app "Track my travels" switch or in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.
Your travel history — the areas you have revealed, your recent path, and the places you have unlocked — is stored in two places, both controlled by you:
Data in your private iCloud database is governed by Apple's privacy policy and is accessible only to you. The developer of Roamlight has no ability to read it.
You can delete your history by deleting the app, which removes its on-device storage. To remove the synced copy, sign in to iCloud and remove Roamlight data from your iCloud storage settings, or delete the app's data from any signed-in device.
Roamlight is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "Last updated" date.
